Job Description

Clearance:  TS/SCI with Polygraph

Designs and develops moderately complex voice, data, and multi-media communications network solutions. Analyzes network topologies and traffic and capacity requirements. Incorporates capabilities of next-generation transmission, switching, and routing equipment. Specifies router configuration. Ensures network integration across all its components, typically including ATM, IP routers, circuit switches, traffic shapers, cache servers, and gateways. Documents network design and topology and procedures for cost and performance analyses. Applies in-depth professional-level knowledge to independently solve a full range of complex problems. Serves as trusted ‘go to’ person by management. Typically has a Bachelors degree, and 6 – 8 years of experience, or equivalent relevant work experience.


Key Role:
Work as a member of an IT project and support team, including planning, coordinating, and executing projects to deploy IT capabilities to traditional and Cloud environments. Provide the hands-on expertise to stand up, network, secure, and administer systems and shared services in standalone and networked Linux and Windows environments. Advise other project teams in conducting research and development in Cloud environments. Coordinate with other team members on IT projects, including the secure implementation of new IT capabilities and the resolution of user IT issues, such as migrating a production Web application to the high-side Cloud, deploying new low-side laptops securely , implementing a low-side Cloud environment to provide various production and research services, and resolving a variety of issues with laptops, printers, and applications.


  • Experience in working with shared services, including Active Directory, Exchange, and SharePoint
  • Experience with administering IT solutions in a Cloud environment
  • Experience with deploying and maintaining Linux or Windows networked systems
  • Experience with providing hands-on customer service via telephone, e-mail, and in person
  • Experience with intelligence community (IC) IT and security processes
  • Experience with SharePoint
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and Lotus Notes
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph required


  • Experience with configuring Cloud services, including Office 365, Azure, or Amazon
  • Experience with configuring and maintaining IT assets, including laptops, tablets, or smartphones
  • Experience with developing scripts and software code in a Linux environment
  • Experience with securing IT systems in accordance with ICD-503 and drafting-related documentation
  • Experience with implementing Web security standards
  • Experience with Linux, SQL, and Java for the IC
  • Experience with SharePoint, Web Cloud services, and Access DB for the IC
  • Experience with IC budgeting, including Access DB and Visual Basic
  • Knowledge of IT strategy
  • Ability to maintain, support, and improve Web sites and associated links
  • Ability to develop SharePoint solutions and database repositories
  • Ability to document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for IT access
